One of the blackest pills is realizing that leftism is just a manifestation of the envy and resentment that has plagued mankind forever - and will continue to do so forever. Much like we will never defeat sadness or anger, we will never be rid of the emotions that lead to collectivist ideologies.
True. It's why I honestly struggled to understand the left or awhile. I'm not an envious person, so it was really hard for me to understand how envious many people were. Being envious is one thing, but being so envious that you create a whole political ideology based on envy, was and still is kind of beyond my comprehension.
