I'm guessing some time around June there was a big push to get Indie devs to show support for BLM, a "purity test" of sorts. Yacht Club Games cucked even harder for BLM and they absolutely are not pieces of shit (but it still pissed me off just the same).
Why do you guys think that 8-bit or 16-bit retro style indie games are “hipster garbage”? Indie developers would rather make a game with a 8-bit/16-bit style than go all out with a, 3D style, AA or AAA quality game. It’s a cheaper option.
Limbo and it's follow up game I forgot the name are not retro looking and are still hipster garbage, Sunset, Gone Homo, Dear Esther, The Vanishing of something, The Suicide of someone are all hipster garbage and are in 3D.
Now for some retro looking games that arent hipster garbage there's Unending Dusk, La Mulana, Shantae, Bleed, Bot Vice, Dusk...
