Apolitical or centrist to the average person basically means "happy with the current establishment"
For many so called "thought leaders" they will call themselves anything that gets them attention or money. Even the exact opposite of what they truly believe.

Well at this point if you don’t openly support the narrative, you are on the “wrong” side. Just look at JonTron and his I just want to grill meme.
They then used his poor choice of words from that Destiny debate he was forced into years ago, to continue to call him a racist. The left has a cult-like with us or against mentality worse than I have ever seen from the right.
