Yeah, but Amazon makes sense. Realistically, a boycott of Amazon is almost impossible, if not fully.
This company isn't anything special. They'll 100% hurt from this, no way they get away with it.
Amazon is ridiculously easy to boycott. Looking at Gymshark, it grew from social media from the same kind of leftist base who would love this kind of posts. Amazon has grown from normies. Their consumer bases aren't just in the physical products.
I'm sure the gym lockdowns produced more women wearing Fashion Nova and Gymshark recording themselves doing squats at home and drinking cannabis smoothies.
I tried, it really isn't. It's easy to not use Prime or whatever, but some things are too niche to be listed in regular stores.
Ebay and China stuff, which is what Amazon usually has anyway. If you say it's almost impossible to boycott Chinese goods, I would agree, but Amazon is not the producer or sole seller of these goods.
Ebay and Alibaba are way more likely to get you scammed though. At least with Amazon they try to limit that. You are also getting better shipping through Amazon than basically anywhere else.
Although buying online from places like Walmart and Best Buy are decent as well.
Also Abebooks.com
Not just that but the massive government contracts means that your tax money is going to keep them afloat whether you like it or not.
And don't even get started on the bailouts that would come if Amazon was actually in trouble...
I canceled my Prime, Storecard, and entire Amazon Account.
Almost everything I've bought off Newegg, was just transhipped by the buyer getting it off Amazon.
You haven't boycotted Amazon. No one has. It's literally impossible.
That wouldn't even be worth trying. Many Chinese goods don't even have to be labeled.
Still, China doesn't have a membership. I may not be able to actually avoid buying things from Amazon indirectly, but I don't pay them a membership anymore. And I don't have their card. Or prop up their services.
Quit Twitch.
fuck, did not notice that.
How does you using Newegg mean I haven't boycotted Amazon?
Almost every company on earth uses supplies from Amazon. Many retailers are just reselling things they bought on Amazon.
You think you're not buying things from Amazon. But unless you're not buying anything at all, you're still buying things from Amazon.
Why? Sears, Roebuck were the Amazon of their day. There's no reason a competitor can't do what Amazon is doing.
Because only a massive change in technology will topple Amazon. Those companies reached obsolescence when online shopping became commonplace.
actually in UK they are. Their custonef service is the best, although that has a lot to do with how terrible customer service in the UK is in general.
John Lewis Partnership and Sky were the worst I've ever put up with.
