That's good. These people are losing their control because they've taken an all-or-nothing approach. People decades ago would defend slightly varying positions, like maybe the legal age should be slightly lower or an elderly person dating a teenager or young adult is fine, but now they need to defend the most extreme things. We need to not just be glad that they want to stop their tide, but we need to actually reverse it.
I'm not sure this works. Other than leftists, most people still always try meeting the other side halfway. Fast forward a few decades and "conservatives" manage to conserve absolutely nothing. If they demand to lower the age of consent to 10, the correct response isn't to agree to lower it to 15, it's to reject the demand entirely. Or even propose making the age higher.
Love, is my first answer. We were young, we fell hard and fast, not realising that we had different ideas. Despite our differences weve stuck together and despite her upbringing shes always been tolerant of my views. Once we had kids though her hormones went into overdrive and she almost went full trad wife, staying home and looking after our children became her top priority. Now with the recent lockdowns, isolation from her mothers constant feminist nagging and my subtle influence over the last 13 years shes starting to see things my way. Of all the things it was the Cuties controversy thats now tipped her over, now shes actually calling shit out on her own while I just sit there with a smirk on my face hahaha
