The military has been a long-standing bastion for the Right because its hard to be a leftist when you're literally in an organization where patriotism and discipline are the pillars of its institution. So its been very difficult for the Left to infiltrate it since when they attempt to do so, they're quickly forced out by their peers who can tell they do not have the best interests of the nation and more importantly their men in mind.

But under the Obama admin where he pretty much purged the military of anyone who dared speak up against him. (197 officers in less than 5 years) The Left was able to gain ground and push a bunch of woke trash policies. IE Women in the infantry no matter the cost.

I mean, the Left took the most obvious route into the military: Through West Point (and the academies for the other branches). West Point is absolutely crammed with stuck-up shitheads who have absolutely no inherent loyalty to the United States, and view the military as nothing more than a career move. Its no wonder that so many high ranking military officers end up joining the military-industrial complex for fat stacks of cash later on.

I know what you mean. I had a captain that told me straight up while I was a CPL that after he was taken away from commanding actual line companies he would resign. Since advancement after that is all politics.
