The military has been a long-standing bastion for the Right because its hard to be a leftist when you're literally in an organization where patriotism and discipline are the pillars of its institution.
So its been very difficult for the Left to infiltrate it since when they attempt to do so, they're quickly forced out by their peers who can tell they do not have the best interests of the nation and more importantly their men in mind.
But under the Obama admin where he pretty much purged the military of anyone who dared speak up against him. (197 officers in less than 5 years) The Left was able to gain ground and push a bunch of woke trash policies. IE Women in the infantry no matter the cost.
I mean, the Left took the most obvious route into the military: Through West Point (and the academies for the other branches). West Point is absolutely crammed with stuck-up shitheads who have absolutely no inherent loyalty to the United States, and view the military as nothing more than a career move. Its no wonder that so many high ranking military officers end up joining the military-industrial complex for fat stacks of cash later on.
I know what you mean. I had a captain that told me straight up while I was a CPL that after he was taken away from commanding actual line companies he would resign. Since advancement after that is all politics.
So federal you can't even get it without a recommendation of:
Your representative in Congress
Your US senators
The Vice President of the United States
Delegates to the House of Representatives from Washington, D.C., the Mariana Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Virgin Islands
The Governor of Puerto Rico
The Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico
The Secretary of the Army
So you basically have to be connected to the government in some way to even get in.
You don't need a nomination from all those you listed, just one. A kid in Kentucky isn't going to petition the Governor of Puerto Rico for a nomination, and the reverse would be true for a kid in Puerto Rico.
And you don't really need to be "connected". I went to high school with a kid who went to West Point. At the time, you needed a strong academic background, good mix of extracurricular activities, recommendation letters from notable/important people, and be in good shape. Being an Eagle Scout didn't hurt, either.
I didn't say you needed all, also look at the 1st thing on the list. It says Congressional representative, so your friend probably asked his representative for a recommendation and they gave it to him.
Also speaking of Kentucky, it's probably easier for people in less densely populated places to get it. I'm from Los Angeles, so my representative probably gets a few hundred letters on different issues each day since my district has several million people in it. So if I wanted to go to West Point when I was younger, the chances of my letter getting a reply being some nobody is probably pretty slim.
This is a hoax. As far as I can tell from their from their website: Yes, these books are required reading, but only if you take this course, SS392. This course is not mandatory and is for people who minor in "Diversity and Inclusion Studies". It's certainly not something the average cadet will be taking.
Should these courses be funded by the army? Should they even exist? Absolutely not. But let's not make shit up.

I swear the right is fucking scared to go against this hate group.
They are, and it's pathetic.
500 at least.
Most certainly since books were written.
I mean they managed to graduate an actual communist so im not surprised
They've declared war and the best we can do is say "no" but only after allowing it for some time.
Is west point a federal institution or just a private one?
It's a federal academy.
Federal. Very federal.

They're just being pedantic because you forgot to include an 'or' in that list.
Hard to shake that argumentative reaction from reddit lol
also because you formatted it so terribly
Hate to do this, but...
