I'll just throw it out there and say that any teacher who is genuinely worried or apprehensive about parents listening, or participating, in their child's education is a teacher who is up to no good and can't be trusted.
There's absolutely no reason whatsoever that parents should be removed from the equation when it comes to their children's education. It's not even debatable either. Parents should always be included and encouraged to participate because they're a critical part of the process.
This guy simply doesn't want to get caught pushing his ideals on the children, and is upset that any child would get their ideals from home.
Yeah, a parent should always be aware of what is going on with his/her child’s education, because it is in their own best interest to make sure that the child is able to get an education and someday take care of a family of their own. Public school was supposed to be an easy way to allow everyone, no matter their economic status that opportunity, but with the advent of technology, and the increasing lower cost, home schooling is becoming a lot more accessible. That combined with cases like this, have guaranteed that if/when I have kids, they will be not be attending public education
Not only is it more accessible, but it will also strengthen the bonds of the family and the one on one attention is massively beneficial to the child.
But I think it's less about the material on tests and exams, and more about the "social" lessons that teachers have been cramming into children's minds. Especially when you consider they're trying to instill into children that they carry sin simply for existing -- which is some next level fucked up.
My biggest worry with the method of teaching social issues they're presently using is that it's going to have the opposite effect on the children when they grow older. I'm worried that there will be an obscene amount of young men who have been told that because of their sexual orientation they're oppressing others; that by virtue of their gender, their core masculine identity is toxic; because of the color of their skin they're evil and everything wrong in the world; because they don't bend over backwards for xxxxx group they deserve to be ostracized. That's what worries me. Because I can promise that anyone who has been told their whole life they're a piece of shit and everything wrong in the world is absolutely going to lash-out. Maybe not all of them, but certainly a large enough portion that people should be concerned.
We've witnessed this how many times throughout history? Yet people still think all of this obvious racism and sexism is ok because the target is white people?
They better hope these kids don't grow up saying, "fuck it" and embracing the labels placed on them by these people.
Yeah that is what I meant when I said “cases like this.” Some people don’t like to admit it, but the black community still faces some issues that were derived from Jim Crow. Now imagine if it becomes Jim Snow. You have the majority of the population in a lot of western countries, that are becoming an oppressed group, which does come with severe social problems. We already have minority preference hiring, how much longer until it is illegal to hire whites, all in the name of diversity. We already know what happens when a group of people are perpetually victimized by society, so picture that on a mass scale. However this ends it won’t end pretty, and I fucking hate it so much. I got lucky by going to school in a conservative area, where a lot of this “social justice” shit doesn’t fly, at least for now.
It's also stupid.
These people write entire books and essays on how evil and violent the white race is, right? So why the hell are they constantly poking them with a stick? How come their delusions never pan out in reality? Believe me, we're all seriously tired of it.
It's likely the strong sense of racial identity and solidarity among Blacks was born from Jim Crow. I would expect a similar thing to happen to Whites under a long enough Jim Snow regime. Eventually America will have its very own Orania, and then it will have a lot more than just one.
If you think a strong sense of White identity and solidarity is bad thing, your only option is to stop Jim Snow before it starts in earnest. If you think it's a good thing, all you need to do is make some popcorn and enjoy the show.
Really, information about what's being taught should be publicly available. After all, millages regularly come up where the local school system asks for new millages to increase funding or existing ones to be extended. The public should be able to easily see what they're paying for.
