My idea was better. It'd be 10 minutes of loading gunpowder just to be shot in the back by a 12 year old camping in the corner of the map.
The disciplined march across a field and volley fire were used for a reason. Imagine trying to get 24 gamers to manuever in formation.

Eh, a well trained infantryman could load a Springfield Model 1861 in roughly 15-20 seconds. Plus, there were already early breech loaders all over the place during the war.
It was the 1800s, so it could very well be a 12-year-old.
