Tbf, the Arab states are hell bent on eradicating Israel. (even though some pretend to be friendly for diplomatic purposes). It's literally the one thing that every Middle East muslim can agree on.
And the Islamic middle East has the manpower and geographic mass to sustain and supply a full scale, long term war. Israel would be (literally) fighting in their own backyards with a numerical disadvantage and nowhere to grow food or manufacture arms that isn't a battlefield.
If America ditches them and nobody else steps in, Israel is gone within 5 years.
i have a feeling in that kind of scenario israel wouldn't hesitate to use atomic fire. no one around them has that or the means to counter it. the closest, i think, is pakistan, and they're too busy with their hateboner for india.
"In the 1973 Yom Kippur War, Arab forces were overwhelming Israeli forces and Prime Minister Golda Meir authorized a nuclear alert and ordered 13 atomic bombs be readied for use by missiles and aircraft. The Israeli Ambassador warned President Nixon of "very serious conclusions" if the United States did not airlift supplies. Nixon complied. This is seen by some commentators on the subject as the first threat of the use of the Samson Option"
Again, same problems in your analysis. The Arab world hasn't been able to agree on that. They haven't had a unified front since prior to the 1967 war. The IDF & Mossad are capable of causing absolute havoc to all of Israel's neighbors. The US hasn't needed to step in to Israeli wars. None of them have managed to even last 5 years.
If this were a Hearts Of Iron game, sure, Israel would be screwed if you were playing as the Hafez al-Assad. But the world isn't like that. Furthermore, you couldn't even convince countries not to step in because Israel is an economic powerhouse.
