But they do marry across as well so that should be less of a problem since there is a good chance to find a wife at work. However this looks to not be the only problem, marriage is no longer a goal and children even less then that.
Somewhere along the line we lost the idea that family bring meaning to life if you get it to work properly, and that is hard but worth it. I think movies and culture in general has focused so much on negative aspects of having a family. And then there is the carrier woman, waits until she is almost 40 then wants a child. This is the unfortunate side effect of biology. A 40 year old man with a carrier can chose what type of wife he wants while a 40 year old woman will most likely not have a child.
(Looks at sign HR put up in the hallway reading "RESPECT IN THE WORKPLACE: Know your audience 100% - Intentions do not matter.")
Haha fuck that.
There's a dialog in the 1994 Michael Crichton book Disclosure between (I think; I read it shortly after it came out) the protagonist and his lawyer, where the lawyer says something like "I met my husband at work, and our courtship today would be considered harassment".
Like most things, it's been a slow decline for 30 years.
You shouldnt be looking at work to marry a woman anyways. The average Chinese farm girl from a poor village would make a better wife than the average western working woman.
Don't you think the world has already had enough Rice Paddy Fever to last us a while?
But you are right, I would rather have a good ol fashioned Russian, Korean, or even Hispanic wife than the fat, ugly, insanely over opinionated lard asses around me.
We have systematically stripped meaning from people's lives and attempted to give them new meaning in politics. Our education system is designed to make people useful retards for the Cathedral.
The left tries to give people meaning through politics, and the neo-cons try to give people meaning through working for some multi-national corporation. In both cases others receive more of the fruits of an individual's labor than that individual receives themselves.
Neither wants people to find meaning through building up themselves and their families, where they themselves are the primary recipients of that labor.
At least the neocons encourge meaning through hard work. They are the responsible progressives who acknowledge that someone has to do work, but only see productive people as fools to be tyrannized. Fucksticks like Burnham have done more to undermine the right than Chomsky could ever dream of.
Yes, their encouragement of the servant mentality of achieving personal satisfaction through satisfying one's master is preferable to encouraging dependency. Neither are desirable I think.
