I still hear people attack Rush Limbaugh despite him being long since past his prime popularity, and not even being relevant to casual conservative discussions outside of the 40-50+ crowd.
For a while, little over a year back, I had to do a lot of driving to job sites right when his show was on. I started listening and actually came to appreciate it. It's nice to hear someone even remotely mainstream that is willing to argue against the left wing narrative live on the air. Also it was about the only thing I could consistently find playing in more or less the same part of the radio dial no mater where I was driving.
It's true there's a certain cohort on the left who still think it's the 90s. I'm surprised the man is still alive: didn't he get diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer last year?

40-50 crowd? Try the 70-80 crowd.
I still know a few people who got into him during the Bush years as young adults, that are now middle aged dads.
They are the ones behind the "peak boomer tier" type memes we see on the right constantly too.

He did, quick search reveals he went into treatment for it earlier this year.
Given his age however, and how lung cancer usually goes, its a risky run either way. Shit took my mother in less than a year in a brutal fashion.
sorry for your loss, mate
