St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly M. Gardner added 22 more names Tuesday to a list of officers banned from bringing cases to her office....The total number is now almost 60, roughly 5% of the department’s force .... meaning her office won’t issue charges based on their investigations, won’t apply for search warrants they seek and won’t consider cases in which they are essential witnesses.
Her opponents, especially the police union, have been trying to remove her from office the last few years, which led to her suing the city claiming there is a "coordinated racist conspiracy" against her.
What they’re trying to do with this couple is obvious. They want to make self-defense and possession of arms as inconvenient as possible so that scares others into not standing up for themselves.
As long as they get some gun safety training, it's their best bet for security. Cops can't keep you safe in the situations where having a gun would be helpful like home invasions.
The one actually pointing the gun may actually have committed a felony, as she is arguably aiming the weapon at people without an imminent threat to her life. As I understand it, as far as the law goes, you should never aim at a target that you are not justified in shooting then and there. Had she held the gun pointed at the ground or pointed upwards, there would be no case against her.
The one holding the rifle could be charged with negligence at worst as he barrel-sweeps his wife several times, but that's a stretch.
My understanding is that Missouri is a full on Castle Doctrine state, and that trespassing is enough to evoke that protection. Because they were not only trespassing but also breaking and entering, she can assume they were valid threats and were intending more unlawful action.
All well within her rights to do so.
Whether she looks like a fool who would do more harm than good waving it around like that is another discussion.

The commies started chanting "keep mo-ving, keep mo-ving" and left the property untouched. No one got hurt. That is all good and no harm, even if they should work on discipline.
It is common in real world CQB to flag the fuck out of each other in good teams with a lot of trust, although I'm not encouraging the average person, private snuffy, or most SWAT teams to start practicing. Sweeping your spouse wasn't remotely appropriate for this situation, and I wouldn't trust either of them anyways.
The govenor better hold to his word and pardon them. This is nonsense. The prosecutor should be charged with wasting time and reasources too.
The cops that resigned recently should help them out if the governor won't. They know the jails and the DA offices.
The situation there was already a shitshow even before this incident. The DA's office lost a ton of experienced staff right after the current head took office and she's been actively preventing the police from doing there jobs ever since.

Oh, and the only reason she was elected in the first place was because Soros dumped a bunch of money into the race.
Of course, she is one Soros' slaves. He IS the coordinated racist conspiracy.

The rule of law is already dead. Manuever through the world appropriately.
Makes sense, especially considering gun sales are up 137% across the board and studies have shown that women have been buying guns in record numbers the last few years, especially black women .
Gotta keep people feeling scared and helpless so they'll vote the "correct" way.

That's a yikes. Can I say that? It's their word after all.
10/90 - you will never make this happen.
Wannabe Nazis burn in hell.
They cleaned out the prisons so they could put anyone opposing the mob there.
Nothing wrong here. Nothing to get concerned about. They nasty racists. They racis.

The justice system across this country has been infiltrated by minions of Soros. And I mean seriously infiltrated.
