I was never on Digg but this makes me wonder just how bad they had to fuck it up in order to kill their site. Reddit is doing everything possible and people are still there. Lack of alternatives I guess
Do not discount the number of bots present on social media sites. I would be willing to wager that even if there were zero people posting, reddit would still appear to be fairly active.
Also, Digg died when people left for reddit. I'm suspecting that a lot of the people leaving social media sites right now are simply going offline instead of moving elsewhere.
Could be. I've dropped twitter, reddit and facebook. I browse sites like gab, but that's just an echo chamber and to be honest, The only reason I ever used most social media sites was because I get a dopamine bump from smacking around retards
