I cannot believe it. These guys are giving the far right all the fucking ammo. “To see those who have power over you yatta yatta yatta”. I unfortunately do not have that much trust on the average person, they will not see this and go “Oh, the elites and lefties are pushing an agenda”, they are going to see “I interact with a person of color wrong and my life is ruined”. Enough people lives are ruined and these guys are going to effectively form groups of people with nothing to lose hungry for the blood of people that, for the most part, never asked for this special treatment.
I don’t care when my American friends banter with me and call me wop, grease monkey or pasta nigger. I just banter with them. Now they have to be careful because if the wrong person hears it they are canceled. The Soviet Union did a great number on the world, look how far they have fucking come.
I have suspicions that Silicon Valley is afraid that, as mostly white male million/billionaires, they'll be BLM's next target for reparations, so they're trying to turn the public opinion against them, and perhaps even ensure a Trump victory.
