It seems TLOU2 isn't doing too well in the West either.

NO REFUNDS Gotta prevent that 80+% second week drop off from getting worse.
They'd be in the negatives if they counted all the copies they got back...
Based Japan is also shitting all over the game. It’s hilarious. My favorite quote from a Japanese review is this, “nothing like being told what’s right and wrong by a bunch of people who think they are never wrong.”
Queue the Sanders style "No Refunds" memes.
Hahahahahaha!
I played the first one for the first time ever last summer. After being told it was the greatest game ever I was very disappointed. I didn't mind the story but it just wasn't fun. Not only that it didn't need a sequel, it's a money grab hidden in SJW sheeps clothing.
The saving grace of TLOU are Joel and Ellie as characters and the performances by Troy baker and Ashley Johnson. They're what make it worth watching. Everything else is pretty paint-by-numbers, from the zombies to the gameplay.
What stuns me is how cuckmann and company didn't realize this and decided to commit character assassination on both of them.
He realized it. He just wanted to push an agenda over an entertaining or good story. Naughty Dog even used trailer manipulation in which they subbed Joel into different scenes he was never in, in order to give the impression Joel is a major part of the story.
Last of the Franchise, for sure.
What store is this?
JB Hi-Fi, an Australian chain.
Why is Joel in One hidden in a bush?
Who would've thought that spitting on their fanbase wouldn't work out for them?
It's because of covid if i rememering correctly. No places are really taking trade ins right now.
THE DIABLO 3 OF NAUGHTY DOG
They made their money, who cares if the sales drop now?
It's not that simple. Aside from companies like this never having too much money, there's the prospect of DLC sales and future sequels. The ability for something to function as a franchise is where the real money starts to come in from and they've killed TLOU as a franchise.
It still affects sales of the company going forward.
The Last Jedi and Mass Effect 3 still made money despite a ton of controversy.
Their follow ups, not so much.
Massive returns will effect their ability to sell to the company in question in the future. Likely will be given far less room to ship them huge quantities and market through them.
This is assuming of course that the seller in question paid lump sum for all these copies and don't have a contract requiring XXX amount of sales or else Sony/ND is on the hook for it.
It isn't even that simple with a middle man.
