The "end cancel culture" movement that has been burgeoning on the left is probably dead now, lol.

They may not appreciate why cancel culture exists. So many people have degrees that are in nothing besides how to cancel people. No wonder they spend their time on the internet hunting for people to cancel? They have a fucking four-year degree in it and no job!

It was less time than that. I personally blame internet porn, it's a pathway into the destruction of all standards.

Most people pretend to have no memory because they're cowardly, it doesn't mean that they really don't remember.

People have been trying to do this for awhile I think...

Honestly I don't think they care. They probably assume that Americans can appeal to Americans better than Japanese can. They know that Americans can't appeal to Japanese very well. But I don't think they appreciate yet just how serious the cultural divide forming in America is, either. So maybe some day they will be forced to make a choice. But I don't think it's there yet.

It's obviously being pushed by SJWs in the American branches.

It's not that simple. Aside from companies like this never having too much money, there's the prospect of DLC sales and future sequels. The ability for something to function as a franchise is where the real money starts to come in from and they've killed TLOU as a franchise.
