Senate Democrats block $1.15 trillion defense authorization bill
Senate Democrats on Tuesday defeated a motion to proceed to the $1.15 trillion annual defense authorization bill, legislation that usually enjoys strong bipartisan support but this year has become …
Then you would already have power. Or you're just too lazy to try. Or you know that your intentional ignorance of politics would likely get you killed.
Good luck with your fantasy, though.
Why would I have power? We aren't ruled by our betters, we're ruled by our inferiors who currently have power.
No shit, right?
How exactly are you "ruled?" What constraints bind you? What are those chains made of, exactly?
I am taxed 60% of what I earn against my will. These resources I earn for myself are taken from me by a gun pointed to my head. If I refuse to work, I cannot partake in society because I was not born into wealth. Even if I owned wealth I am forced to pay property taxes on real estate and capital gains on growth of my wealth and that growth is required given the inflation that is forced upon me against my will. These resources that are stolen from me by force are then diverted toward objectives which are completely counter to my interests as a person. This is the very definition of slavery; when the fruits of my labor are not going toward my benefit but the benefit of my RULERS instead. These resources that are stolen from me are used to harm me not just to benefit my RULERS but to directly harm me. I am subject to rules in every aspect of my life including a license to fish just to point out such an absurdity and it's not just one or another, it's in every aspect. These tyrants want to control every aspect of my life and regulate everything that should be free from their RULE. If I break the rules I have guns pointed to my head to steal more resources from me or to throw me in prison.
If we weren't ruled then taxes would be 5% and the government would have only about 0.01% of the laws that are currently on the books.
