Its still airing so I cant be sure of the ending but based on the style and what people who read the manga have said its probably depressing. Still, very interesting premise, and more prude friendly given the setting.

Except if you actually looked at your source, you would see there is a close grouping and even overlapping of the "Iranian" and "Caucasian" haplogroups, and this would make sense given the Silk Road and centuries, if not Millennia of trade and interbreeding.
If you looked at the other image in that article, you'd also see that a DNA sample from Marmara connects virtually every major European and Middle Eastern admixture. Iranian at 28%, Syrian at 33%, Dutch at 35%. Italians top out at 57%.
