Just wait until Mitch McConnell hears about this! Wait, what's that, my sources tell me Mitch had an 20 minute call with Lindsay yesterday. He also had an 20 minute conference call with Scott Jennings and John Thune who told him about Lindsay dying today. Mitch is heartbroken and his mind is gone from grief.
They'll Weekend at Bernie's Mitch until the deadline to hold a competitive primary passes so Massie can't run to replace him. Of course Kentucky's governor is a Dem and he's legally obligated to fill a vacancy with a member of the same party as the seat's previous occupant, so it's not out of the question that he throws a wrench into that plan.
