You think businesses, saddled with higher minimum wages, will be less likely to seek out employees whom they can abuse in other ways by leveraging illegal status?

I'm discussing a scenario involving a nation where laws are actually enforced. In a completely lawless nation where businesses can just do whatever they want 24/7, then there is no solution whatsoever to any problem regardless if they are coming from people who are retarded or not. Because then every business is just able to operate like criminal gangs. And then the status quo will remain the same with illegal immigrants flooding in to be used as cheap slave labor. But in a nation where businesses are forced to not behave like criminals and are forced to pay illegal immigrants, the same as everyone else and where it's illegal to hire illegal immigrants, why would they want to hire illegal immigrants then? In a nation where laws are enforced, it's not worth it to break laws unless it is lucrative.

If the American people are just content with the status quo or worse defending it and nothing gets done to make sure businesses adhere to laws, then they are all completely fucked no matter what anyway. And this discussion is pointless. But in a country with laws that apply to businesses and are actually enforced, what she is saying would improve the country. Because breaking laws to hire illegal immigrants at that point, would just be insanely stupid.

What she is saying would actually dismantle the entire fucking system that is responsible for this shit in the first place. The cheap slave system that makes people without morals salivate 24/7 over illegal immigrants. And give in to temptation. If nothing is done to eliminate the option of cheap slaves, people with no morals will never ever stop allowing cheap slaves to flood their country. All the people who think she is a retard, what is their solution? More deportations? ICE be given more power? Well without destroying the cheap slave system, all those illegal immigrants who are deported will be smuggled back 100% or businesses will just buy politicians who will make it so illegal immigrants don't get tracked down and deported anymore by changing laws or politicians who will neuter ICE.

What she is saying will not result in all these illegal immigrants flooding the USA and being paid well. And living their best life. And then telling their family back at home, the USA is an amazing place to live. LOL What she is saying will result in them maybe entering the USA illegally and every employer telling them to fuck off. Because the cheap slave labor loopholes are all gone now. Everything we are seeing is just symptoms of a disease. And that disease is the desire for cheap slave labor. The kind of people who want cheap slave labor. And these people being able to get away with making use of cheap slave labor. Because that is why these people are making it so easy for people from other countries to come in and work.
