I've been replaying some of the gtas in the past years and i think last year especially i listened to a gta4 talk radio station. The satire was state approved. Same as in vtmb. "Conservatives are evil nazis and democrats are just a little too nice/naive sometimes and maybe corrupt" is what the jokes were, essentially. Jokes themselves were funny at least and there are some accidental based moments but that was about it. Not sure about 5 but it probably was worse. It was censored post release too.
