Yes true! The Mary statue is a representative of the “Queen of heaven” ishtar, semiramis , inanna , Aphrodite, Astarte, Venus, Athena…etc. but I don’t think most Catholic Churches know this or pray to the statue, light candles arlund it with this in mind, nir the congregation
