My drone records to a memory stick and I copy the video files to my PC.
There’s no way in hell that DJI is accessing my footage.
Some DJI drones have cellular connectivity that can enable remote viewing. They absolutely can.
Depends on if the drone "phones home" once it hits WiFi. Same goes with CHICOM security cameras.
When it gets to my home wifi, The batteries are usually 3 feet away from the drone recharging
