The idea that normies and NPCs don't communicate, but instead they "cast spells". As in they just try to find the right combination of words to get you to do what they want?
For instance, they want to shut you up, so they yell "that's bigoted". You might not even be racist in that moment, but it is something they say because they want you to stop talking.
What is the origin on that? I'm trying to share it with a friend. Thanks.
It may have to do with image of the person by the npc. I am in a position of trust and I am generally viewed as knowledgeable and a good point of discussion and advice.
It could also be geographic. If you are in a very liberal hive then the masses will outweigh you by too much to do anything. Like I said before, it plants the seed, and when enough seeds are planted and the zeitgeist starts shifting, they will grow. You arent doing it for today. Youre doing it for your kids. Those little doubts add up.
