This is why cops should be removed, defund them and give the money to the sheriff's office. At least this is the kind of publicity that could get a sheriff removed, not shit is gonna happen to police.

No it isnt. ANY unelected police force is a private army not beholden to the people. Sheriffs are elected. You can remove them. They have an incentive to the will of the people.
Sure, and elections are manipulated and fake and gay etc, bad people get elected and all that.
The issue isnt do we need law enforcement or whatever because fuck all zog, but the difference between sheriff's and cops. Cops are installed by those in power directly. They answer to the mayor or the council. They have no accountability and no reason to care about the will of the people. The sheriff can be removed.
