The reason a rift has broken out is because Nick wants a rift to break out, because he's hired to do that. Lol. Also a classic canard of right wing movements, having a bunch of feds causing chaos.

It's pretty impressive how Nick can manage to find an excuse to cut off every influential right winger at the knees and still maintain a following, but it's slowly catching up to him.
