There's a good short documentary on how he made his money, how he built his off grid homestead, and his small time political origins.

He also said on a podcast when he went to Congress he was initially living in a truck camper in the parking lot.
It's hard to imagine anyone else in Congress living like this and his unique perspective is something I hope stays around.
