No, I was there. Hell, I bought Depression Quest two days before GamerGate started. I watched the whole thing unfold on Reddit, I read all the media hand-wringing, I read all the think pieces, I went ahead and saw everything that happened between Saints Row 3 and Dragon Age: Veilguard.
I come here and see what's become of the community annnnd I find that no one gives a shit about video games and it's all just generic Joo shit.
Games are just trash now a days. There isn't a single title I can even be remotely interested in anymore. It's a fully gayed out industry, it's gone the way of hollywood... And before you say indie games, I'm tired of playing indie games too.
So I think people are just over talking about games. It's all trash, the entire industry. How many times do we have to talk about how every character is trooned out, every female model looks like a dyke, or how there's a token nigger in everything now.
I have plans to start a game studio once I retire from my current career, but that isn't going to be for another few years. I really don't think there will be a decent game released until I literally make it. Or who knows, I might just suck at it and it'll flop.
I love indies. I just finished Esoteric Ebb. Sort of a Disco Elysium meets D&D thing. I liked it, at least somewhat; I imagine this community would have mixed feelings if any of them played games anymore. It's, you know, Scandanavian.
There are also good AAs. I liked Dispatch. Maybe this community would complain about it? I'm not sure. It doesn't have any trooned-out dykes, but there is a profane black speedster who runs until he (spoiler because you don't care) prematurely ages and drops over dead, and I'm not sure whether you'd consider that tokenism or rather based.
But why am I talking about games, when this is just an identical instance of the Internet's other 600 "JooMemes" sites now.
