I'd divide his work into three sections:
early Tim: He got famous for traveling the world to do on the ground reporting. I wasn't watching him then so have no opinion.
mid Tim: He read articles and commented on them. Meh.
modern Tim: He moderates a panel with guests. Lots of competition for this timeslot. Tim's not my first choice but can be interesting depending on topic/guests.
