I tend to agree but that has little to do with the issue here, gays were still disproportionately on the registry beforehand. If western culture never abandoned institutionalized mental care, the rollout of transgenderism would have had more pushback and more Americans would view it as a form of body dismorphia. A lot of people were hurt from closing the mental asylums. A lot of the homelessness in America is attributed to drugs, but not just the addictive street drugs; also the lack of psychiatric drugs that some people actually need to function in society, but are not receiving.
At the same time, it enrages me whenever I see news of a murderer who goes without justice due to a mental health claim. Its a nooooanced topic.
