The big thing that every civilization fails to bake into it at the onset is continuation and self preservation. That should be at the kernel of any new constitution and build out from there. It cannot allow actions that cause it to cease to exist, otherwise every other "right" that follows is useless.
I wish my kids could live in the America I grew up in. But maybe my eventual grandkids can grow up in an America better than anyone ever grew up in.
