If you truly look into it, Christians unfortunately didn't realize (or rather accept) that Christianity could be subverted from the inside. The biggest flaw of Christianity is thinking everyone can be Christian if they just accept Christ. Well, this isn't actually true. A jew is a jew regardless of whether he accepts Christ or not. His behaviors are ultimately controlled by his genetics regardless of whether he accepts Christ or not. A black person is lower IQ and more likely to be violent regardless of whether he accepts Christ or not. An Indian is gonna jeet regardless of whether he accepts Christ or not. Christians accepted a bunch of low quality trash into their religion and these people subverted the religion from the inside out. That's why all denominations except a few holdouts are mostly worthless in modernity.
They knew it could be perverted and wrote it about it often and early. Half of Paul's early letters were complaining about derelict churches and their insane practices.
Which sort of highlights the point. Christianity is a faith. It cannot be perverted. It is either correct or it is not.
Institutions can become corrupted from the inside. It why I think people should look carefully at the words of Christ for advice on churches. It seems to be mostly ignored. Paul would have done well to remember what he was told.

Exactly. That's how we know Christianity isn't correct. It's outcome is not good.
