Gu is representative of the Chinese ethos, holding on to American passport for freedom and high living standards and perfectly willing to be mercenary for the ccp for the right price (still not giving up us citizenship for Chinese one), they (the Chinese plebs) hate her because she's doing what they want to do but couldn't
