I don't really understand the purpose behind articles like this. Man is what he is, and has always been. I understand it's disappointing and frustrating when you first come around to this realisation, especially if you yourself are a more thoughtful individual, but if you expect human nature to change, you will always be disappointed.
honestly, I can't wait for the war in Ukraine to be over. First, the senseless killing would stop, but second, alot of very skilled bullshit-intolerant people would spill out into the west (and Russia). people who are less into talk and more into "kinetic solutions to people problems". and at least a fraction of them might pick the right targets.
I wonder if thats why no one of note actually wants this war to end...
Pretty good article. I think you would get along really well with someone here (for a few minutes anyway)
I know our vote is meaningless. I know everything is already decided by the global elite, but I can at least make a symbolic gesture of where I stand. I’m not happy that the government systematically traffics, rapes, tortures, and murders children— but what am I going to do about it? I’ve got bills to pay. Besides, they are watching everything I say and do. Even if we tried to do something about it, they’d find out and shut it down.
Even from the premise that voting has zero real political power, it still isn't meaningless because it superficially aligns large coalitions of people. It would be difficult to find an uprising or revolution in the postindustrial era that didn't start with some kind of political party or movement.
I know. It’s depressing. You wake up to the news that the highest level of government is run by a satanic pedophile cult. To make it even worse, that is just the information that they are okay with releasing to the public.
The problem is, "you" isn't the average person. What is happening right now is that a majority of the country isn't ready to cosign this. The people on the edge of political discourse are jumping forward to "all these people are eating children" but the mainstream hasn't caught up yet.
Imo the decisive factor in what will happen next is if partial disclosure makes the fire hotter, or quenches it.
