The current wave of communists has completely forgotten that their fight for perpetual revolution has to remember what the previous generation fought for. Thus, they’ve decided that diversity must be universal, irrespective of the narrative they’re trying to tell. So their narrative of “same bad, different good” is undercut by your fight against a group which is “different” that is cast as being bad.
Like the Star Wars sequel trilogy, where the Empire isn’t written as human-supremacist anymore (Thrawn as an alien in the EU was a compelling character because he got to his position through sheer skill, despite the discrimination), but rather full of niggers, girlbosses, and autists.
Or how the newer Just Cause games make half of the enemy troops women, so you’re forced to gun down women and hear them scream in your fight for, uh… freedom and equality?
