This guy sounds like an "enlightened centrist" with a bunch of surface level observations.
He talks about how not every evil person is a jew or how they aren't behind every evil act. No shit Sherlock, I'm well aware Bill Gates isn't a jew, or Hillary Clinton, or Obama, and definitely not Pol Pot. That doesn't mean there isn't an evil conspiracy by at least one group of them that is effecting major change in the world.
He goes on about lab grown meat. Idk about you, but after looking at "beyond meat", I am not eating anything grown in a fucking lab. I don't care if that's a knee jerk reaction. I am right on this and nothing is going to convince me otherwise.
He talks about how not every monopoly is a bad thing, about how only the ones that are enabled by government intervention are the problem. He uses Steam as an example of a natural monopoly. Again, no shit Sherlock. The fact that government is involved in creating the conditions that suppress any competitors from forming is the fucking problem that people have with these monopolies. Nobody has a problem with Steam because Steam doesn't abuse their position like a Pharma executive.
The great irony, is that this video in itself is slop.
Worse than an enlightened centrist, I think this is a wannabe technocrat. And emphasis on wannabe, he has no position of power and no reason to expect he'll have any say in how things work once the general public has been sidelined as per his wishes.
It's like a commie with no connections who thinks he'll be the commissar not the conscript.

Chesterton's fence, kind of. Lab grown meat as a disruptive innovation is the equivalent of tearing down the fence of traditional meat.

I do. It let's devs and publishers abuse customers and tries to force people to use it when they shouldn't have to like the steam controller.
How do they force you to use a steam controller? None of my games require it at all.
It means the gamer needs to use steam to use the controller properly not that games force you to use it.
