Captcha are getting harder because AI is solving them. Once AIs surpass humans on solving capchas can we just get rid of all capchas?
Maybe something will actually get better?
(Probably not. The pessimist in me just says the internet will just start requiring an ID to access anything.)
The raw links often have problems of their own. Archive.is used to be a good way to get around them.
archive.is's captchas are extremely AIDS-ridden compared to every other captcha I see in regular use anywhere.
They're still better than sites that try to make you create an account, and even worse, the bane of my existence, sites that play a video that follows you as you scroll and can't be stopped.
