Interesting. Not quite sure what to make of it. He's ruled against Trump multiple times, and he's also ruled against the state and against the military even before Trump. So on the surface he's not just some flunky.
It is interesting that he was a JAG lieutenant, though. A dude with military connections is in charge of the...rather unusual trial of Maduro, who was just militarily extradited from a foreign country. He's also currently overseeing Hugo Carvajal's case. And ruled against Trump's use of the Alien Enemies Act in regard to Venezuelans.
Also, the link at the bottom of the page "List of Jewish American jurists"...I tried to open it, but it said my bandwidth limit for the whole decade had been exceeded, and then my computer caught fire under the strain.
