There's no benefit to a free society in enabling the worst traits of parents. It doesn't produce good future citizens, it doesn't improve society, it doesn't save money...

Because the current government promised to cut spending and instead raised it while increasing taxes and cutting safety nets for the childless. It's a complete betrayal of what people voted for.
