Saw the movie and a big fan of the book told me it doesn’t do the book justice. I was about to go buy it when I saw I had it (along with Altered States and Requiem for a Dream) in my massive pile of books I havent read yet.
What did yall think about the book? If I remember correctly a feminist reimagining is coming
It's basically like reading an autist's diary where said autist also happens to be a sadistic murderer. There'll be a few pages of plot, and then for no reason, Bateman starts talking about the Billboard 100 of that particular week for the next 5 pages. You kinda see this in the film version where he goes on about Huey Lewis or Phil Collins, but it's 10x worse in the book.
