I saw that. I also remember a few years back some archaeologists got in trouble for faking or lying about African presence in early UK. Ties into how ridiculous BBC period pieces look now. I remember someone getting mad at me for saying if I see a black person (or anyone who doesn’t fit for the period they are showing but the bbc is obsessed with blacks so that is the example) in a time and place they would’ve been non existent or exceedingly rare it takes me out of the show. The BBC always has sone hack historian to justify their garbage. Why not produce a racially diverse period piece on pre colonial Nigeria
