Don't know why it uploaded sideways. Came across this gem at Barnes and Noble and thought they might have turned over a new leaf. Turns out, it stands for proof of concept.
Exif metadata can be used to specify the orientation of an image without re-encoding the image data. Probably your image viewer uses that metadata to rotate the image but KIA2.win ignores it.
