The boomer/jewish ethos of "muh bootstraps, nobody owes you anything" rings hollow because in practice only productive people are expected to pay their own way. And it gets harder every year.

I don't even know what Ben is trying to accomplish at this point, he has to know that's not a winning message and that everyone can see right through him, right?
