This seems like the most bleak interpretation of male relationships ever, even more than the crazies 'two guys are close, they must be fucking!'

Guys can share friendships from different levels from the shared daily grind of the work place to the commute (I have made friends with guys I have ONLY met during my commute) to shared hobbies to hardly talking to them but you need a pickup from an airport at 1am, they'll be there in 30 minutes with a sofa to sleep on!
