Same here, I gave up porn because of how boring it all got. It just left me feeling like I'd wasted my time and could have been doing literally anything else instead of beating my meat.

Hell, Every porn site could go down right this instant and I wouldn't give two shits about it.

But there's definitely an argument to be made about being careful with what we label "porn", to prevent the term from getting overused like how the left made the word "nazi" meaningless since they started calling everyone to the right of Stalin a nazi.

I just don't want the right to loose the advantage it's got with managing to sway young male voters.

Keeping actual porn away from them is definitely a good thing, but I also don't want a repeat of back when they were calling everything "satanic" and losing the younger people to the left like back in the 80s and 90s.

I also don't want a repeat of back when they were calling everything "satanic" and losing the younger people to the left like back in the 80s and 90s.

That's exactly how I fell off the wagon back when I was a child. Struggling to find a place in a society which had rejected me for entirely circumstantial reasons, but then also being shunned for not fitting in after that fact made it incredibly hard to find any way back in. I'll spare you the details, but the journey to finding a real place in society has been incredibly long and I'm still not quite there yet.

If there's anything I could change about society, it would be to see more charitable individuals getting directly involved in the lives of those kids that don't fit, and not by going through some organization or system. Just seeing more people helping those in their own communities would do wonders to help guide kids like I was back to a better place.

Just to point out how devastating it can be when professionals attempt impersonal interventions: I once attempted to kill myself because I was so distraught about my lack of social skills, and when I expressed to the psychologist who talked to me afterwards that I hated how I struggled to relate to kids my own age, he asked me bluntly if I was trying to tell him that I wanted to have sex with children. That was my introduction to the idea of paedophilia, as a vulnerable child who had just attempted to abandon God's gift. I've had a very hard time trusting anyone with authority after that incident (among several others).

Dude, what kind of mental gymnastics does a supposed trained professional have to go through to hear a kid say he has problems making friends and go "ah yes, you must have a case of the pedophilia". What the fuck man?

Seriously though, I don't really want to go "muh both sides" but the treatment of kids who don't fit in definitely needs some improvement.

On the left, they'll just affirm the kid and encourage them to drink the troonshine or kool gaid. I'm sure we all know how bad that fucks up kids in the long run.

Meanwhile on the right, they've got it slightly better in that tough love, when done right can really help a kid along. I don't have an issue with them being a bit hard on their kids, but the punishments should be appropriate and anything physical beyond a slap to the wrist just seems excessive.

But, I've seen how too much tough love can fuck up kids as much as over coddling them.

I know it's anecdotal, but I have a younger cousin who's mom was one of those bible thumping Christians who unintentionally helped push the youth away from Christianity. She wasn't just passionate about it, she was a full on nutjob.

To give you an idea of how crazy she was, she once chewed me out at a family gathering all because my cousin tried to borrow one of my Narnia books. This was during the 90s back when they were calling Harry Potter "satanic witchcraft" so she probably thought Narnia was something similar.

Anyway, that cousin of mine went the fag route a few years back. Full on marching at pride parades in a crop top levels of faggotry. I haven't been able to get in touch with him in awhile.

Now I knew the guy when we were kids, he was a bit quiet but didn't really seem all that weird back in the day. So seeing him pull that hard of a 180 definitely made me a bit sad considering how normal he used to be.
