I’ve been saying for decades now that peer reviewed science just ensures that what the peers agree on will eventually become extremely narrow and controllable. Most academic research relies on some sort of funding and typically big pharma doesn’t like it when you say one of their drugs may be harmful. Hell my best friend ended up with his research funding pulled and consequently blacklisted because he conducted a study on how HRT had long term negative effects tied to hormone imbalance.
