The people being targeted are the same types of people responsible for creating cancel culture like 15 years ago so they should not have done that. It was liberals and leftists who originally said freedom of speech does not = freedom from negative consequences. So they can't criticize what is happening without looking like massive hypocrites. It's like punching someone in the face for disagreeing with you. And then arguing with someone for 15 years on why it's okay to punch someone in the face if he or she disagrees with you. But then the other person who was disagreeing with you, finally gives up and says "Okay, you are right." and punches you in the face. The dignified thing to do at that point is not pretend to be a victim but instead admit you are retarded or say you see nothing wrong with what happened to you.
