I have some vacation time on Friday so I’ll take my PS4 to GameStop to trade in (since they sell sports cards now I’ll get some packs with store credit). Once I got a gaming laptop I was spending more and more time playing games on it to the point where I was only using my PS4 to watch streaming. Now that I have chrome cast I really don’t have a need for it anymore. I’m officially in the PC Master Race. I’ve always bought Sony since I was a senior in high school and my dad said if I got a PS1 he would buy my first game (terrible deal since he bought Riven).
My main reason for getting a gaming laptop was that I couldn’t get quest mods in PS4 Skyrim. Now, if I ever come across a PS2 I’d happily buy that again but I saw one at a game store with 5 games for 700. From now on it’s Steam for me. I think I may do a playthrough of old Sierra games as well
Yeah I grew up only really playing Sony consoles. At the end of the PS3 era I started actually making my own money, though, instead of asking mum and dad, and then it was just a question of 'Why wouldn't I get a gaming PC instead?'. They're better at basically anything you care to mention, and they can emulate all the old games as well.
I don't think consoles as a concept are really long for this world. Maybe Nintendo will be creative and/or gimmicky enough to keep them alive?
Exactly. When I first saw Steam I was wondering how GameStop can stay in business.
