I know there are anime from DMC franchise. From reviews, most are positive. Can somebody explain if they managed to do a good series with deep writing, or if it's just another slop for kids who like the games?

Yup.
As far as I know, the only watchable portion of the franchise, which is primarily a video game franchise, is the anime, and two people have already laid that out.
The older one is okay and at least watchable, so you should watch it if you're interested in DMC, while the newer one is hot woke garbage.
